Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker and writer, who can do research on trending topics and create intriguing blog posts that will engage our community. You must be able to write optimized content for website development.

Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2016, our mission at Blessons for Women provides free mentorship, educational workshops and wellness clinics for all women, in addition to scholarships to disadvantaged, low-income women who are 25 years or older and who have had their higher education interrupted due to challenging life lessons such as; cancer, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, sex trafficking or who are first generation female immigrants.

The non-profit also has a mentorship program that provides tools to assist with self-esteem, providing a safe space to express feelings as well as someone to walk along side the women to help with the difficulties of life.

Our free mentorship program is a safe community for women who empower each other by sharing their stories of blessings that were inspired from challenging life lessons as an additional resource of mentorship for women, by women - What’s Your BS? ( Online Blogging Mentorship)  They do so, both personally and collectively, with the assistance of gifted educators and mentors, and a powerful network of their peers. Our What’s Your BS- Women Only Circles provide therapeutic group support, coping skills examination, relaxation techniques practice, self-exploration, exposure to different perspectives, opportunity to practice social skills, empowerment and inspiration. A safe space where women who care about meaningful connections and self-love gather to support, inspire, and learn from each other’s Blessons.

We are looking for a What’s Your BS Blogger to post women’s Blessons Stories that are submitted to us via website, about Team Blessons, the organization, events, resources we offer, partnerships and other topics. The blog can be daily/ weekly and or bi-weekly depending on the the amount of content the non-profit wants to post on a given week. Blessons for Women is looking for talented Blogger to generate engaging, original content for our website (www.blessons.org) . The Blogger will research topics and develop interesting posts that will appeal to our target audience and promote the blog using social media, direct email, and other methods to alert and expand our outreach. You should be a skilled, tech-savvy writer who can create appealing, insightful posts that will reach and grow our audience.

Topics will inlclude but are not limited to advancing women through higher education; trade schools, tech, vocational programs, new job skills, women empowerment and our missions and team.

Blogger Responsibilities

  • Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts.

  • Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content.

  • Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.

  • Advocating and educating others about interests, volunteer opportunities, or free services.

  • Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.

  • Inviting other bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute content to the webpage.

  • Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.

  • Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.

Job Summary

Blessons for Women is looking for an exceptional undergraduate/graduate student intern to work directly with our What’s Your BS? - Women’s Mentorship division on social media strategy and digital communications. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in building a non-profit resume to work with passionate professionals and enjoy a real opportunity to make a difference for women living with challenging life lessons and are turning wounds into wisdom. We're looking for a commitment of 10-15 hours a week. Start and end dates are flexible, but we ask that you commit to at least a 5-month internship time frame for Spring or Fall semester or a 3-month internship time frame for Summer.
